My name is Sam. I am a husband to my best friend, a father of three amazing girls, and a modern day gear head, bending bits, bolts, and atoms to my will in fun and exciting ways.
I have worked as a photographer, graphic designer, aircraft mechanic on a few fighter jets, Linux Sytem Administrator, Network Administrator, and I designed the network and operating system for the ACB12 MK160 Gun Computer System that controls this thing. My current gig is at Red Hat Ansible, where I’m blessed to work with insanely smart and passionate people on one of my very favorite tools.
I like old cars, whisk(e)y, wine, coffee, clicky keyboards, the sound of jet noise, and the smell of JP8. I play a couple of instruments and enjoy any music as long as it’s good. I care about text editors and clean code, operating systems and network topologies. I’m a rare breed of human and my wife deserves a medal for enduring me every day.
From time to time I have an opinion or story I would like to share. I hope you enjoy what I have to say as much as I enjoyed writing it.
